Hello I am 22 years old with a degree in Public Relations and my boyfriend is 21 with a degree in TV Production / Video. We plan to spend Houston, Texas next summer. But we do not know with the state in general. We are in Chicago, Il. We want to know what's best (Yet affordable) area to live in. We will look for apartments there next January. We want to be able to walk at night and always feel security. We are young so we like having fun too .. The Mid Town area is within your price range and has many apartments with couples / singles your age. Nice shops and restaurants with dining terrace make these few blocks from a nice place to walk. I'll warn you that Houston is not the kind of city where people walk a lot. When I moved here from NYC, I asked where people walked here and was sent to The Galleria (shopping center inside)! It is more like Los Angeles where readers throughout the world, even a few blocks houses.
